HaHa ... I'm fighting with my chickens and ducks to keep my banana plants growing. The chickens have found banana leaves to be good eating. It funny to watch a chicken jumping up & down to grab a leaf. ... The ducks (Peking) will strip a 3 or 4 ft plant to the ground sheaf by sheaf. (not good; bad duck). ... now if I just get them back to eating collard greens to I grow just for them.

oh ... WalMart sells banana leave at about $7 per pound. haha

Greens might be easier to source locally and/or get someone to grow them just for the zoo.
