Default Re: What's blooming in your garden? (bananas)

My yard has been happy lately. 3 fizzled hurricanes have brought record breaking heat, humidity, and the first above normal rainfall month in 9 months.

Praying Hands

Agristarts Mona Lisa

3 bunches of 1000 Fingers, and a fourth out of frame to the left.

Local TC from Novelty Greens of "Goldfinger" which it clearly is not. However, matches Goldfinger in some respects including the fruit taste and ease at which fingers come off before totally ripe as on Dwarf Brazilian. Messy Rachis here looks pretty much like a DB.

Agristarts "Goldfinger" clearly another which is not, but again is similar to GF descriptions in other ways.

My first Dwarf Puerto Rican Plantain. Got this from Chris Carter a year ago. Was a sad little thing with the corm cut back severely due to corm weevils. Seems pretty happy now. about 6.5 feet tall.

Sad Hua Moa. P-stem split halfway through its growth, but it survived and fruited.

Happy Hua Moa, from another source. Didn't split. But hardly an impressive bunch.

Mysore with 13 hands! The biggest I've had so far. This is the first bunch and surprisingly short for a Mysore, about 9-10 feet.
