I had a simlar experience. Mine happened while trying to winter this one. The PS
appears to have rotted in the core, similar to yours. However the corm survived and
produced two pups, which are now ~6' to 7' tall (PS 3') The below photo was taken
on April 25/14 I.e. almost exactly 4 months ago.
