Enjoying this thread and the pictures very much.
I finally found a DF to buy--it was purple inside and fuchsia outside. Maybe what you guys are growing tastes better but I wouldn't waste space on this. Yes, it's possible it was too ripe but I really didn't like it. BTW, I used to grow prickly pear cactus but only for the flowers; the fruit was disgusting to me. I have a feeling, after tasting jam and juice, I wouldn't be a fan of guavas either; I have never been impressed by star fruit. Of the tropical fruits this Yankee gal really only likes avocados and mangoes it seems. Ah, well, carry on.
