I'm glad to hear this, as I recently cleared about 10 or so plants out of a mat and have alot of drying banana matter lying around. Can I just throw them under the plants or would they be better chopped first? And I didn't know they limit surface oxygen in the tropics; they perform the same function as mulch no? I don't mind cutting them into smaller pieces if that would solve the no oxygen access issue.

I'm really starting to like this variety from all the pictures you've been posting Nicolas; can you tell me some of its merits? Is it a faster bloomer etc? The bunch you posting on the blooming page looks a pretty decent size too from what I assume to be a first generation's harvest
