Hi All!!

Can anyone help me? I bought this as a Praying Hands from a plant sale at Fairchild years ago. It has been in the ground for 5-6 years and has never bloomed. Mostly because it gets too cold in the winter and rots. This year the 3 tall plants made it thru the winter, so it should be ready to flower.

My question is about the black color on the trunks, (none on the leaves). The pics that I see on this site don't show the black.

Does that mean it isn't a PH? Or does it mean something else. It isn't rot(though it appears bumpy in the pic, it is only a color change). Can anyone help me?
