I think there are minor variations, but really not much. I believe some exceptions to the sikki's in color or size based on origin get named new cultivars under assumptions of similarity.
for what it's worth, this one is a darjeeling giant purchased from sandy last year. Plenty of red for me! (its on the right)
the leaves come out almost as red as the ensete on the left but fade over a few days.
