That is very cool. But, I never expected to see such a great gardener using such a "fool proof" system. I guess even the best can have fun with stuff like this. As far as keeping the plant to under 12"...can't you just keep it short by pruning? I'm also wondering how the root systems differ in hydro vs. soil. Can you use your hydro system to sprout stuff then pot it up? Maybe as a cloning station? Just some thoughts that popped into mind seeing your new system. I'm very happy for you, and I wish you all the best with your new garden toy.
