Bifenthrin (7.9%) works well to kill Armyworms. I know this because I spray it on them for my job. Use a dilution rate of one ounce per gallon. The brand name we use is Menace, and it is effective against a very large number of insects and spider mites. I've seen Armyworms destroy half of a yard almost overnight here in Nashville.
