If you cant have animals I think 7 dust or other pesticides are your best option.
Guinea are great my mom had alot of them there were no ticks in her yard i cant have ay here dogs would get them dogs roam free there are no leash laws here. there are 2 pit bulls that are killing cattle so far they have got 10 cattle there was 3 the farmer shot one and killed it it had the cow by the neck.
