I also think it's way too young to tell for sure what it is. I my opinion, the pot it's in is fine for now, though as Michael mentioned, if you plant to keep it in a pot you'll eventually need a much bigger one. You have to be careful putting it in too large of a pot when the plant is small as the soil can retain too much water and cause root rot. Personally, I'd keep it in that pot for a few weeks and see how it does. I used to live in KY, so I know you'll be reaching the end of your summertime temps before too much longer so you may even be able to get it through winter in that pot. Come spring you can decide whether to pot it up into something larger or plant it in the ground.
