Smile Re: Red streaks and black spots of pseudostem.

Your plant looks good 👍. The "leaf splitting off" is normal. If you don't believe me, wait for someone else to confirm it :ha:
I also doubt your plant contracted banana bract mosaic virus, along with...

Re: Banana Bunchy Top Virus?

I don't see any symptoms of BBTV, and unless you are growing this plant in a banana-growing region with BBTV such as Hawaii, some parts of SE Asia, Southern India, Northern Australia, East Africa,...

Re: Dwarf Cavendish Health.

Good job with the pictures. See how easy questions are when picture are used. I wasn't trying to be a smart ass {well anyways} but the pictures clarified your question and the answer is simple: ...

Re: Dwarf Cavendish Health.

The new leaf is normal. This plant has closed petiole canals and will open as the cigar leaf gets bigger.

Now what is odd are the little leaves at the bottom of the pstem. Did you re-pot this...

Separation of plant

I am thinking of separating the pups, but wondering if the bananas will be harmed at this stage in life. They are at least 90 days old. Thanks3391

Re: Generic 'Dwarf Banana' ID?

Getting a positive ID on a plant that size is really difficult. Best bet is to talk to someone who really knows the nursery industry and their suppliers and find out what plant they are cloning.

As...
