Are you sure that is an Ensete??? ....I can't see the petiole, but I think you have a Bird. The leaf ribs on bananas are straight & near perpendicular to the mid-rib.

It looks like the little guy wasn't a sucker afterall. It was a second, separate plant with it's own roots. I just had to do some un-weaving.
