Re: Anyone have black or yellow Sigatoka?

Hi Rick,
I looked at your picture and it's not Sigatoka. Is it mostly showing the marginal (along the leaf edges) necrosis, or are there a lot of those spots like on that one leaf you took a picture...

Re: Banana callus and cell suspension

Hm, since I don't have to re-establish plants from the cell suspension, I may be able to take some leaves and use pectinase to break apart the cells to make a mesophyll cell suspension. It seems like...

Right now, I have tissue culture plantlets, some growing in MS+BAP for shoot proliferation, and some growing in MS without hormones, for rooting. I would like to make a banana cell suspension. Does...

Re: Anyone tried growing Italian Kale - Lacinato?

I've grown that kind of kale before. It's also called dinosaur kale, right? At the time, I was in Ithaca, NY, so it was really easy to grow throughout the summer. Have you tried growing it in the...

Re: Not having good luck with nanners inside fir the winter..

Raja puri seems to be especially forgiving about not getting enough light, though. We've got one that's probably 7 feet tall, next to a window but it doesn't get much light. It has really slowed down...

Re: Not having good luck with nanners inside fir the winter..
