Wind damage on unfolding leaf? Dwarf Namwah
This new leaf just unfolded in the last 24h, there has been winds stronger than usual and when a leaf is still folded I'm thinking it could resist more wind.
Is anyone familiar with this sight...

Re: Careful sending plants
That's nice of you, I'm sorry they took advantage of your niceness. I hope you sell more in the future and make up your loss. I would buy from you and pay first. Do you have any bananas for sale?

Re: Losing a Namwah, help me save it
Thank you! Could you please help me understand the pro-rating formula? So currently the plant is at 18". I'm assuming dwarf namwah fruiting size would be in 7'? Are you saying from 18" to 30" I...

Re: Losing a Namwah, help me save it
I'm delighted by the amount of advice! It certainly seems that I had done everything wrong.
I had started with a 1.5g grow bag but as soon as I saw roots in spring, I thought why not! Let's just...

Re: Losing a Namwah, help me save it
Thanks, if I end up losing all leaves, does that necessarily induce the corm's death? Winter hasn't even started here :( I edited the title, it's rather a dwarf namwah, if that makes any difference.

Losing a Dwarf Namwah, help me save it
This is a TC that was put in ground about 5 months ago. The summer was rough on it but it made it. I have been adding a lot of compost and decent amount of slow release fertilizer. 6 weeks ago I put...

How cold is cold
First time growing bananas, towards the end of August and beginning of September, my TC plants showed some rough leaves. I think most of the damage comes from the salt in my tap water, more than the...

Re: Cigar leaf emerges with dark burned spot?
WOW! Nice catch!
Maybe I should take more photos, but my soil is sandy and I have a feeling that those are sand particles. The dark matter on top is just a tiny compost layer. But I need to look...

Re: Cigar leaf emerges with dark burned spot?
We can't hide anything these days, can we? :ha:
But honestly, some slow release osmocote with diluted rooting fertilizer. I have sandy poor soil very low in organic matter. When I read that bananas...
