Definitely moving to the hydroponics will be much more beneficial. As your location is over wintered so the only good way to grow will be the hydroponics and the best way too for the fruitful results.

As the dwarf cavendish is the biggest plant of banana and need more space than all the other plants so take as much bucket as you can. so that you do not need to change it at all.
