Ok the big one is the back is now coming out well. I had to remove some dead trunk and they are underneath.
Just very slow this year.
Same with the 2 smaller one.
Pulling the dead trunks reveals...

Hi

I have had bananas inground for 20 years.
My Sikkimensis, Ornata and itinerans are out.

2 of my 4 basjoos are not, 1 has a 3 inch growth, the last one 3 trunks at 2 feet.
Usually the 2 big ones...

Are ornata and velutina the same banana?

I have Musa ornata and don't see a difference with the Musa velutina pics online when they are flowering.

How do you prevent bananas from doing this?

The matt eventually does not regrow in the center. Several different species of my bananas do that.

I got the glaucum seeds from a friend who was getting out of the hobby. He has nothing left.

I have 3 non hardy bananas in my yard in zone 7. Musa Plantain, Thousand fingers and Dwarf Cavendish. I don't get bananas here, it's just for foliage.
Shall I dig them up and store in my basement...
