The red outlining is never very noticeable if its there at all, I have only seen it on young plants growing in certain conditions, it eventually fades with age and is never really a prominent feature...

I see why you think it's so beautiful now, but unfortunately that is not a French Plantain. The banana with variegated green and white leaves is the rare, expensive and highly sought after 'Aeae'...

French plantains are a group of plantains, none of which are normally referred to as the 'French Plantain' in the areas they are grown in. These are true plantains which have retained their male...
