It's done. New petals will only have male flowers from this point. Some folks say you should cut the flower off once it's a few inches away from the last female hand to help the fruit fill out...

It's normal. The larger fingers are the female ovum that develop into edible fruit. The smaller fingers are male. On some banana plant varieties they fall off quickly. Others hang around but never...
