Got myself two new banana plants.

The nursery who sold them to me told me they are Rajapuri and Ice Cream Banana.
Could you confirm at this early stage?

The ochracea is supposed to be edible, but I haven't tried yet, as I only have seeds for the time being.
Yes, velutina is edible, but beware your teeth...

They have the two of them, but I don't know this nursery yet.
As those two cultivars are quite "rare", I always have doubts about nurseries I don't know.

I had read that the fruits were good despite the big seeds. As I don't have any other mature banana tree to cross pollinate, I thought I wouldn't get any seeds.

Hi guys!

André, from the North of France, happily growing Musa sikkimensis for the time being since last may.
I think I live in a USDA zone 7a/7b.
I always thought I could only grow ornamental...
