In my humble opinion, a 6” pot is way too small for anything.
1. I have never heard of a even remotely viable soil with a pH 8. It’s hard to believe you have a livid plant.

Do not give up on anything. I’ve had some in the ground every year. None looked worth a poop but all came back. Just trim off all wilted leaves and stems that froze. Let the plants dry out and...

Soil looks excessively dry. Increase the water on a few and see what happens. I dought it will hurt. Check it out.

In my opinion 44.6 degrees Fahrenheit at night should not cause that problem. I think it’s something else.
