That's loads of information, Waggoner41, thank you for taking the trouble (and don't worry about time, we all have the many-irons thing or at least I do). :)

I'm so new to the subject that I'm still...

Re: I'm not here, actually, you're hallucinating.

Re: A real beginner question

Hey, more and more! I don't think I've ever heard of the cuadrado (the word means "cooked"?) but the platano verde / maduro sound like the impression I've got.

About time I got over there to...

Re: A real beginner question

That's what I would have thought! But people seem to talk as if ornamentals were a clearly-defined subset of banana plants in general. If it just means growing them because they're pretty, I'll...

Re: Banking help

Aha. I have seen that before, sometime in my wanderings.

But clicking [Check] next to my balance on every page doesn't lead to that page. ...?

Still can't see how to move them from "Checking" to...

Re: I'm not here, actually, you're hallucinating.

Woo, exciting! Thank you Linda. I don't know the laws but eBay sellers do ship from the Continent. I'd have a good chance of paying import tax though methinx. ... {speedy googling} ... nope,...

A real beginner question

So what actually is the difference between ornamental, and not ornamental?

Is it seeds, simple as that?

Is it being edible or not? And are the non-edibles actually inedible (bad for you) or just...

Re: The map doesn't want me!

That's what I did to start out with...

I still don't! But if it shows to others not me, that's ok I suppose. I already know where I am. (At least I thought I did until I got looking at this map!)

Re: I'm not here, actually, you're hallucinating.

Well, I'm definitely bananas (shop-bought so far) and so is my eldest son; sometimes I'm just crackers though, and my youngest is nuts. My mum was a 100% fruit cake.

Good luck with your info-hunt. I...

Re: The map doesn't want me!

D'oh.

I copied you (I presume) and clicked through the link next to my posts. For a moment I was very pleased with the distinction of existing sans planet... but then I zoomed out a couple of...

Re: I'm not here, actually, you're hallucinating.

Shocked at myself :o , just found this stuck in Preview mode meaning I dropped you for three days. How rude! as Jar-Jar Binks would say.

Musa truly tiny - thanks, Sunfish / Tony. :) I'll make that...

Re: The map doesn't want me!

OK, you've lost me. Both of you. Do you mean it is there, but wrongly positioned?

Does that mean I can live somewhere else now?

Yay.

Question The map doesn't want me!

I've tried twice to add my flag to the map, but it can't be seen. Today I went in to try again, and found my details (co-ordinates, the little message, etc) are already there - but no flag on the...

Great for future reference if I ever want to do some dyeing.

Seriously though, I feel for you. My book says soak in white vinegar then wash in hot water, before washing giving it a dab of eucalyptus...

Re: I'm not here, actually, you're hallucinating.

I'm young"ish", smart and sometimes perfectly fit, but problems fluctuate. Mainly the hands won't grip even when back, knees, shoulders etc are all happy! Yep, I'm looking at things with wheels....

Re: I'm not here, actually, you're hallucinating.

Thanks for the welcomes :)

The grow log is a good idea, J-Bert[?], a lot of dedication though!

I'm with you on the budgies, Trebor, but at least they're in the parrot family. I hadn't thought of...

Smile I'm not here, actually, you're hallucinating.

Well, I browsed until the forum told me to join or go away. So hello!

I've browsed long enough to get envious of people with bay windows, and basements, and hot climates, and budgerigars.

I have no...
