I am in 8b zone and I think it can not hold under 20 degrees. After all,you might try with some goooood protection after it sets offshoots...

Are those two the same bananas? I have found on the internet informations about this two, but I have not understood is Cali Gold the same banana as Cali Hardy?

Yes it will; apple when rotting release gas called Ethene, and it will help rippen.

This wind is nasty; it almost root up my Livistona Rotundofolia and Avocado :D
Also, my Indian Fig Opuntia (Ficus Indica) has fissured all over article :(
