Mark that is bloom number 5. My grain nain bananas got to about 2" then ripened and split open,the double mahoi that bloomed half in the plant half out really didn't develop much really small 1-2"...

Well my banana growing year just keeps getting better! I was watering the bananas on the side of my house and noticed that now my Orinoco is starting to flower. So that makes a total of 4 bananas...

I bring the pots into a sunroom during the winter that has a 10' tall ceiling. It is not really totally cold proof but it has a heater and I keep the room at 52F. This year I am going to buy some...

Watering requirements during flowering.

It was a 90F degree day today and it was amazing what it did to the flower today. Now you can see the bananas without lifting the petals. Several of the petals have rolled up and four or five hands...

Sorry for the delay in updates but have been on vacation. The flower is now out and drooping down and is about 18" in length and in the last couple of pictures you can see the tiny bananas hiding...
