Just arrived in Vietnam, had a very late breakfast of ham and cheese omelet, and passionfruit juice after
36 hrs "bed to bed" trip, finished off with a cup of that divine Vietnamese coffee. That means: "I am back!"

Sorry, no pictures until after March 14.

Thanks, Sherry I am looking forward to that. I am considering draining a 4.5' by 6' pond and make a 'tropical'
planter out of it. I am looking forward to the New Zealand Purple. Got any pics?

Best,
Olaf

While most of you were still sleeping and possibly dreaming of breakfast, I went out for dinner by myself. Margot,
my wife, was too 'bushed' after 36 hours of travelling, followed by 6 hrs of sleep, so was I, but I couldn't
possibly admit that.

So I had a curried pork (lean, three brochettes) $3.85 and a bottle of beer, $0.60 For a grand total of $4.45
Oh yes, I tipped generously to bring the tab up to an even $5.- It is amazing, how tasty they can make little
pieces of dead porkers.

Eat your hearts out!

Sounds great Olaf! I'll be waiting for those pictures in March!

Here's that barbeque that I was talking about the other day.

Another mouth watering shot Sherry!

Good Lord, I haven't seen corn-on-the-cob since September! I am drooling right now!

For that matter, I haven't had a bar-b-que for awhile either.

I had ribs tonight.

Default Dinner in Hanoi

Dinner in Hanoi:

I had #7 – 125,000 VND $1.- ~20,500 VND Therefore it cost me $6.25

Here it is! They never ever just slap your food on the plate in Vietnam

This is my wife’s. I don’t have the price, but it was cheaper than mine, probably $4.50 or 5.-
Oh yeah, it also came with steamed rice.
