??? Well of course the USDA tool is focused on the US and does not include Slovokia ... but did you mean the page doesn't load for you? It is working fine here.

Maybe the USDA doesn't want you to know about your soil

Thumbs up Re: USDA online soil explorer

Richard , didn't know you were in to reading up on soils. Ever read any of Hans Jenny's stuff? He was the best and I try to think of his way of thinking when gardening or "improving my own garden.

I went to Henderson NV and created a one-acre square around the green dot marking Henderson. Clicking on the Soil Map tab, the following information is displayed:
Caliza extremely cobbly fine sandy loam, 2 to 8 percent slopes
Clicking on that will give you more information in a pop-up window. If you also perform a Google search on "Caliza soil", you'll find this description: Official Series Description - CALIZA Series

If you instead click on the "Soil Data Explorer" tab, you can then click on any of the soil use categories and obtain summary information on "suitability" of the soil.

Was unable to get any maps-errors. Was able to get a soil survey for my area in my state/county. Hope the rest is fixed soon. Thanks.

I'm not getting any errors using either browser: Google Chrome, or Internet Explorer. Also, check your version of Flash.
