I sent an alert about the spam messages early this morning and a few hours later emailed Jarred offering to be a moderator for the primary purpose of getting rid of this stuff but I think they're all busy staring at the big moon.

What do they use to make jugo de parcha. It's everywhere in Puerto Rico.

JUGO DE PARCHA

Para 2 personas
4 maracuyas
4 tazas de agua
3 cucharadas de azúcar
White rum – lots and lots
hielo

Slightly edited version.

I will be starting my first foray into growing passiflora in a few weeks. When the seedlings are ready will plant most of them over the fence next door in the vacant lot. They are P. incarnata and P incense. Tony has confirmed that they are very invasive and will run rhizomes underground under fences and into the neighbors yards.

So they go in the vacant lot that has a 30 ft brazilian pepper tree which will be scalped of all new growth. Planted around the tree they have a big trellis to take over. Have been composting my yard debris for years there so they will have a good boost. Tree is 15 ft from fence and should make controlling invasiveness doable.

A few will be containerized with a big tomato cage for a trellis.

With the depressed housing market I should be able to enjoy those passies for years. Fifty percent of the lots in my area are still un-built-on and that's the reason we still have bobcats, possum, cotton rats, snakes and armadillos. OH MY!
