They are edible but insipid. Very vigorous,great pollen donor for xing other passiflora for fruit. This is the one to use to get fruit on the Ruby Glow and many other passiflora.Very easy to root from cutting and seed are easy to germinate.

Tony gave me a fruit of this a few weeks ago. It has a lot of similarities to "Giant Granadilla" (Passiflora quadrangularis). Based on just the single sample I've had so far, I'd say the taste is good. Also -- like the giant grenadilla, I enjoy the thick rind (without the skin) as a mystery fruit in salad, pastries, and on desserts. Unfortunately, every 3 to 5 years a slight freeze occurs here and wipes out giant granadilla. I've given up on it.

Anyone Tried to grow Passiflora ligularis sweet Granadilla inside as a house plant to get fruit? I'm trying to germinate some seeds and want to try to get some fruit. I eat it every time I'm on vacation in Colombia but I'd get it here.

I have a couple seedlings I'll be growing outdoors.I'm sure you can get it to fruit indoors with enough light
