This Thread Is For...
 If you wanna show pics of some feminine things you own (even if you're a guy!  )...feel free to pop in and chat with us girly girls.  I have some stuff to share and I think Janan might too... Here's my Ashton Drake "Rapunzel" limited addition collector's doll with handpainted Knowles china that my mom got me years ago. It's over 20 years old now and will be worth some good money someday...   Her dress is wrinkled from laying in a box for 20 years but this shot shows her gorgeous long blonde hair!  Although blurry, this pic shows her profile and a barette in her hair...  Here, you can see the hairbrush she holds in her hand...  Here's close-ups of the brush...   I've always loved the story of Rapunzel, with her fascinating hair that hangs to her feet.   I'll show my Cinderella doll next but hope others will join too and post some shots... : ) |

 OK I will get my redhead here. I have a lot of collectible figurines, dolls and such. Two china cabinets full in fact! And a tad few porcelain dolls What can we say - we are girlie girls right???  I knew you'd like this thread and I thought the girls could have some fun here!  I love your dolls! That one with the red hair is stunning and her gown is just gorgeous. Look at that hair!  Here's my 20 year old Ashton Drake child Cinderella collector's doll that's been in the box for over 2 decades!      Here's a close up of the glass slipper but you can't see the little diamond on top of the shoe...   Her gown is so pretty...  This was her in the box...  Here's my mom's doll on display...  More girly stuff coming soon... : ) |

She is stunning Sherry! You are very smart to keep the boxes because having the original box makes the value double on them! 20 years ago we didn't know that so kudos to you for doing that!
I think these belong in a girly girl thread too: And here are a few of my dyed leaded crystal balls And my glass paper weights    I'm looking for more - I do have a ton of them, so be prepared. I like pretty shiny things that catch my eye. Here is my closest faceted one similar to your heart crystal that I hope you will post here too. It is a diamond shaped and the light filters out all over: My faceted balls don't have hang loops on them so I just put them on a windowsill to catch the sunlight. I do have an elongated one that actually has a led light in it so it lights up. I used to have it hanging from the mirror in my vehicle, but it is not there now so I am not sure where it it! I'm still looking for it!~JaNan

Yeah my mom told when she gave them to me to keep the original boxes and all the papers. She'd intended for me to display them but I wanted to keep them in mint condition and possibly sell them one day when I'm old.
Some old lady out there even now, would be willing to pay a small fortune for them, that missed out on getting them 20 years ago and has been looking for them all these years. In 5o years though, I'll get some serious cash for them both...if I sell them. I might have changed my mind by then. Here's an LED star light-set I love...  This is my mom's crystal oyster with a crystal ball in the center for the pearl...   Here's her authentic crystal lamp...  Here's my crystal snowflake...  Crystal ball...  Ok here's my crystal heart with a lighted base    Here's the back, so you can see the point...  Oh I love girly girl things... Here are a couple of clown dolls that I sold on eBay. They were handmade and signed and dated by the maker on the back of the neck. The girl 1984 and the boy 1986. I don't like clowns and would not have bought them but they came in a lot of dolls from an estate auction and I wanted the OTHER dolls. So poof! I got rid of them as soon as I could. BeBe my black cat really took a shine to the girl doll for some reason. (You can't pose a cat!!!) SHUDDER! I think they are creepy! I was trying to post these last night when I just conked out.
       And on to something I LOVE, my fairies!!!! This is some of my fairy collection. I have dolls, figurines, pewter figures, pictures, and books. Anything fairy I love (among other things of course ). And for anyone looking at these and might not know - the most noticeable difference between fairy and angel depictions - fairy wings are insect wings (butterfly or dragonfly) and angel wings are feathered.  Yes, I think clowns are scary to a lot of people because of all the horror movies about them! Have to admit though...yours are nice, Janan! I love all your things and the shots are sure terrific. Thanks so much for posting them and please keep them coming. Those fairies are gorgeous! I enjoy angels, butterflies, moons, suns, & stars...    This sun was a gift from Mexico...  More stuff from The Bradford Exchange: This is a colletor's keepsake box called "Heart of the Ocean" with pictures from the Titanic movie with Leonardo Dicaprio & Kate Winslet...  Here's a keepsake giftbox music box (gift from my mom) that I keep dirt from my dad's grave in...   This is the soil from my father's grave since he's buried so far away and I can't visit the site regularily...  A collector's figurine that plays music. I had it engraved on the back...  Love the little flower pot with flowers in it...  I'll show some more dolls and things soon... This is just a heart shaped wreath that I stuck some false sugarberries on...  My lit trellis...  More pics soon... : ) |

Yours are beautiful too. I think your little porcelain music box with the soil from your Daddy's grave is just precious.
 Very, very special!I have disliked clowns since I was a little girl. I have always felt they were hiding something very bad behind that makeup. I never watched the scary movies about them. I always loved to go to the circus because of the animals, particularly the white dancing horses and the ballerinas that rode the big draft horses, but ignored the clowns. More fairy stuff!         Some of the tiny little pewter figures I have - I love the detail that they have for being so small       These are on amethyst crystals      ~JaNan

I thought it was special too and I like that I have something nice to keep the soil in. I think I once liked clowns but because of movies I've seen where they've been portrayed as evil murderers I'm scared of them now and think they look mean.  Your fairies are beautiful, JaNan! Sherry is the heart from your Mom a pendant? It is very sweet. I love all the magnets too!
OK here are a couple of my sun catchers. This is my farm logo that I designed back in the early 80's. I did the glass painting of it probably about the mid 80's - so I have managed to keep this for about 25 or 26 years. Still looks pretty good considering it has hung in several windows and made it through several moves in that time.    This is one I bought about two years ago and hangs in my kitchen window.  ~JaNan

I haven't opened up this container full of girly girl things in a lot of years...
 It's a stamping and embossing kit. See the moon stamp? You stamp it with glue then stamp your page...then sprinkle burgundy powder on the page and heat up with a blow dryer to set it permanently...  This is a cute little calendar with blocks that can be changed daily...  This is a snowman that you can stick a candle in and the stars light up...  : ) |
