Although the official hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, our hurricane season starts when the weather from the Cape Verde region pushes the weather systems down the Atlantic - usually about September 1.
And here they are - just about on time! Currently we have Earl with his closest approach to the north coast of the Dominican Republic upgraded from 900 miles to 286 miles today, and behind him is the next system soon to be called Fiona. They come off the African coast like bowling balls at this time of the year - and it might be time start preparations for the hurricane party for Earl! Who thought that weather could be such fun!! |

This week should be in the upper 60'S to mid 70"s during the day, nights in the 50's, was down to 39 on my deck two days ago all banana's inside except two and those I covered, this will be their last week outside and then in for the winter
