My lignum vitae (Guaiacum officale) is blooming now and the grass is blue with petals. It's about 40 years old and about 12 ft tall and wide. My two Guaiacum sanctum trees are the same age and they are slower growers. The G. sanctum has darker blue flowers.

Tog, I went out to see the tag but it must have disintegrated over the years, so I have to say NOID. Sorry. But it is pretty, isn't it?

edit- I found part of thwe ID tag...its a Euphorbia x Martinii, but which one? Looks like Waleutiny but larger, as it's 2-3 ft. tall now. Here's a pic from normal size.

Waiting for Michelia x alba buds to fatten up and this 'First Love' Gardenia to open up more but it smells really good even at this stage....they are really taking forever because the weather here is like very sunny for a week, and then the next week its cold and hazy.

Thanks Howard. Really cool looking plant. First time I have seen it. I am an euphorbia maniac.

Do you grow Euphorbia milii hybrids? These bloom non stop, kinda like daily here. Flower size depending on hybrid, can get to 2 inches across. I think I bought every one of the colors and there are like heck lot of them from Thailand.

Hybrid#1 - Look at the weird color combo!

Hybrid#2 - This one is from the orange color group.

Tog, those are absolutely stunning! I'd say ship me the Hybrid #1 (), but doubt that it would stand up to my zone 7 winters. Actually, this is the only euphorbia I currently have. I like it so much that I intend to start exploring the family further.

Daffodils. Tulips are still getting buds. They should normally be done by now.

Callicarpa americana is starting to bloom. The berries it produces in the fall are edible, beautiful and the birds love them.
