![]() My wife refers to Frederick as "the little shop of horrors plant". In the summer when the temperatures here are in the high 80's (32 C), the vines grow about 3/4 meter per week. I try to keep it contained to a 50' foot long portion of the fence. The plant mass is about 40 cm (16 inches) thick. Here's a 2 meter wide section of it:

![]() Here's the progress on my Frederick passion vine. From the corner, it spans about 16 feet along the top and bottom rails. Also, I'm training verticals up from the bottom rail vine about 4 rungs apart.
