Tony, good work. We finally got some buds on our incarnata and I think I will try hand pollinating several and watching the others. When I dug up the rhizone I had not noticed that there was a fruit on the vine so we lost the fruit. What do you fertilize with?

I use what ever fert. I am using on the banana.Nothing special.I am about 99% sure Incarnata is not self fertile.

An unrelated plant will work . Go ahead and hand pollinate and cross pollinate with any other passion flower you can find.

It doesn't have to be another incarnata, if I use another I might not get the same plant. At this time we have 8 plants, all incarnata, but only one with buds. The others should take off shortly. Where I dug these there were no other than incarnata and haven't seen any ones closer than 2 miles. Patience pays.

Yes if you use another plant say Caerulea you will get hybrid seed.Same fruit but different plant from the seed.I x pollinate with five to six different plants.Doing this I've got fruit on most all my plants,a couple I haven't figured out yet

Ante, those are very good looking blooms. Will be looking for the pics of the fruit. The leaves are a darker green than mine, may I ask what are you using for fertilizer. All of our plants get their fertilizer today and we hope to get our first blooms this year from the plants I got off the side of the road. Will post some pics when they bloom.
Thanks

Im not using anything special for fert, they are growing in same soil as my naners and they gets whatever bananas get.

Interesting thing is that I have stems are in different colours, this flower grows on red stem vine. I ll try to take a pic or two this afternoon and post them tonight (my time, course).

Tony, your photos aren't too shabby. I've been told that most of the time it is the user and not the camera. With me that is very often a fact. I shake a little so I am now using a monopod to help keep things a little more steady. If that doesn't work out comes the tripod. Todays cameras sure make photography easy and great.
Thanks

Does anyone know if passiflora pollen holds well? Is it mailable? I need to find someone with a compatible pollinator to passiflora incarnata for my vines... all the seeds I've got are apparently from the same parent. : (
