Bananas Brindando Re: how to care for plumeria

you say it branched off, do you mean it flowered and thats where its getting 2 or 3 new tips, is it rooted yet? it should be in a well drained soil, like a merical gro potting mix with about 50% pearalite unless its not rooted yet the fert can burn a new cutting, other wise use a catcus mix, can you post a pic that will help a lot. could be getting burned by the sun, was it recently put in the sun if so put it in some shade till it gets acclamated to the full sun, slowly increase the amount of sun it gets? hope some of this helps?

it is rooted and from the original stock it branched off and formed another cane that is where the new leaves try to come from the top of the new cane.. I will repot it in better soil and a better draining pot I have moved it around. Are they sensitive to hoticultural oils? Could I have burned it I have had to spray for bugs lately but it has never done good for years it is probably 12 inches tall and it is a stick with a stick coming off of it.... I will try to take a pic and send it.....
thanks for the info

no they do just fine with oils, i use neem and volck oil and have no problems, you say the orignal plant has never done good, is it getting full sun with regular fert. like a 10-50-10 super bloom, and good water when the leafs starts to droop? and some nubs that start to form on old wood dont make it but most of the time at least 1 will.

i did not mention, but sure you know not to spray any oils or any pest prevention in the sun or above 80F for best results. try to post a pic, hope some of this helps?

ok, it looks to me that its starting to get some sort of fungus and is rotting, i say that because of the different colors i see in the trunk, but the pic is not that close, so not for sure, let the soil dry out and do like you said put it in better sun, and i would spray with a copper fungacide, trunk and soil about half the dose the label says. is the trunk soft or spongy in any area? let me know what happens!
