There should be a scent actually, but I couldn`t smell anything.

I love the scent of my Dad`s Sobralia macrantha, but it seems to disappear very soon...

I love the sobralias, I just wish the blooms lasted longer.

Here are a few more 'chids in bloom today.

Phalaenopsis stuartiana 'Larkin Valley' x self

Phalaenopsis Hilo Lip

Phalaenopsis No ID

Phalaenopsis Green Joe 'Green Yellow' (I don't like the name on this one)

I'm not sure, but I think it is phalaenopsis season.

Here is Vanda Mimi Palmer. Great scent (unusual for a hybrid vanda), and frequent bloomer.

Here is a 'mini' phal, but the name is not certain just yet.

Phalaenopsis Hybridizer's Dream - less and less common, but mine is a dependable bloomer so I'll keep it around.

This is another type of Sobralia macrantha, but I prefer the pink one...

Dendrobium nobile, very easy to cultivate...

Miltonia flavescens: not very colorful, but I like it, though.

This is one of my 'overflow' orchids that I keep out at my garden plot on a nearby military base. It is a Vanda luzonica. Usually they have large pink blotches near the outer edge of the petals, but this variety is unique in that they have spots instead. Unfortunately, all of this species are unscented.

Vanda luzonica - unusual type with spots

Vanda Rothschildiana - should have better shape once the blooms mature some.

NoID Vanda - Can't find the nametag, and can't remember what it is.

Ascda. Summer Delight 'Susan' - easy bloomer, one of my oldest 'chids.

Phalaenopsis Timothy Christopher - cute and dependable bloomer

Cattleya loddigesii - good color, but shape could be better.

Took these two pics today. I got this plant as a small plantlet some years ago.

In my opinion, P. vitellina is one of the most beautiful orchid species you can cultivate. No greenhouse required. I love it.
