![]() quite warm here, but high winds from the south!
It's soon midnight and we still have 19 -20° C. During the day it was even cooler! Tomorrow's forecast says 24° C and sunny, but still windy! So far November was warmer than October (15.0 vs. 14.6° C mean temperature). And October was 1.6° C colder than average mean temperature and November is now 4.0° C warmer than usually. Forecasts say that the unusually warm weather will continue at least for the next week. So, half of the month is/will be much too warm. If we don't get a sharp drop in the second half of the month, this could become one of the warmest Novembers ever. Anyway, my bananas like it. ![]() A few days a go I posted that October 2010 was the wettest in the last decade... |

![]() Today seems better than last two days ago.....
Temp is still High for November and the big front that has flooded half od Italy is going east.... The forecast says it should rain lighter than yesterday and this is the last day of strong SW winds. Even if it's not an optimal weather the 'nanas can't complain for sure.... |

![]() To not be so obvious, not from one country but three : Austria, Germany and Russia
![]() For your historical education increase ![]() Btw. - many historical mistakes in that video. Madziarowie (Hungarians) weren't there in the 9th century, they came later, after the Slavic settlement of the region. Also, 966 was a bad year. ![]() Last edited by Jack Daw : 11-10-2010 at 03:40 PM. |

![]() How can that be an Independence celebration day, if you've never been a part of any of those countries and are the most dependant from them right now. Seems very funny. ![]() From the history: Austria, Slovakia, Czech republic, Hungary, Dalmatia and upper Balkan Slavia (The Habsburg Monarchy) was joined by the Polish-Lithuanian Sobieski army... and defeated Muslim Osmans after centuries off their European conquest 50km from where I sit right now. (you can also see the date in the video) Battle of Vienna - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I don't know who was dependent from whom even back then. ![]() And who was a joined, naturalized folk, and who was a nation back then. ![]()

![]() Oh my God! Jack, We disappeared from the map of Europe for 123 years. Have you heard about "Partitions of Poland"
Third Partition of Poland - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia "Sobieski Relief" was earlier. About Habsburgs Empire After partitions southern territory of Poland became Austrian province "Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria" and its border with Russia was 200m from where I am sitting now ![]() |

EDIT: love your video, it was a great idea, really amazing! Poland would be among the most popular exhibits if they showed only this video. As long as we are in the Shanghai section videos, here's something for the education: (what kind of expert was doing this video is unclear, but there's more black in it than anything else). And here's the short video about the real Slovak history, well worth seeing. It has several parts, which you can find on the YT sidebar:
