You had French at primary school? Wow. That's really... surprising. There aren't many non-francophonic nations, who even bother learning French, it just hasn't got that much use as Spanish, English and in my region also German.
I also studied French in high school. Then it was common in Spain. It has now been displaced by English.
My second language is French.

No, I didn't had French in prinmary school. I meant to say that my school knowledge was basic :-), but was sufficient for the website.

So my french is rather basic , i learned it at primary school but the only thing I have to say it's that tropicaflore is often said to send wrong plants so beware...Personnaly I have a lot of bananas coming from tropicaflore and the only doubt is for a Dwarf Orinoco...

Great to see so many people posting again!

Yeah, languages have been my passion ever since I saw Indiana Jones as a young boy and taken Nikola Tesla as my scientific role model.

English has become more important in Europe because of the new admitees. Slavic countries have been learning English rather then French, which was one of the main languages in the EU ('cause English is so much easier).

Then of course German, which is in Central Europe very strong mainly due to Germany's location on the map, Spanish, which is beeing spoken by close to 430 million people, Russian,... needless to say why....

More interesting European languages are also those, from which many other languages originate, such as Greek as a rough basis for Slavic alphabets and pronunciation and Italian (or Latin) as a base for Roman language family.

French is very popular in northern and central Africa though.

Btw. the video clip that made me wanna learn more about Greek, way of life in Greece... Gotta love these old cultures.

Linda from Germany is a silent, shadowy banana give away girl. I surely wish she posted more pics of her garden... it must look great with all the naners.

Linda is so silent because she works on term papers she has to write for University...

Our garden looks like a jungle...and every year I have to fight for a big patch for my bananas because my parents occupy the patches with vegetables and other things I don`t like that much...

Glad to see everyone is working so hard at university.

I have a trade for you all: I have 4 Musa Formosana pups (that I chopped off the mother 5 minutes ago) for trade.

I'm looking for a Raja Puri, Chini Champa, Dhussray, Musa Itinerans, Hajaray to trade or alternatively money paid through Paypal

Anyone interested????

It's very rare here in Europe.... There's only one guy here in the european section who owns an AEAE but I don't know if it has pups and he want to sell one...

Otherwise look on Ebay... there are some AEAE from Thailand.

Still no pup. I don't think there will be one before spring, but I'll post as soon as I have one available. But I have already a waiting list. It's a short list, but may be long enough for this years pup harvest.

Greetings fellow Europeans

I have many seedlings of various banana species: Helen's Hybrid, Nagensium, lots and lots of Cheesmani, Itinerans Forma India, sikkimensis and Velutina.

I also have a Chini Champa pup (well almost I haven't removed it yet) and a Formosana pup from last year.

I am looking to trade any of these for either Hajaray, Raja Puri, Ice Cream pups. I will pay postage

Thank you BB73 for the Dhussray it's doing great and so is your Helen's Hybrid.
