Should I separate a large Zebrina pup?

I was wondering if I should separate one of my Musa Zebrina pups, its almost as big as the mother plant now. There is another smaller pup on the plant but it is also catching up with the mother plant. I want to try and grow one plant in the greenhouse overwinter and the other indoors as the Zebrina don’t do good in cold dormant storage from what I have herd.

You could take it now if you wish. I personally like the clump look you have at the moment.
I took just recently a large offset off my in ground plant and cut the corm in half as it had many eyes so I could plant it in a pot to get a clump look from the word go.

if you have a lot of space in your greenhouse or if you want to increase your stock of zebrina, then take them off the mama. If you don't, pot it up a little bigger eventually and go for the clump in the pot look. zebrina doesn't like cold greenhouse, a heated bench or heat pad under the pot will make it much more happy. At the very least, don't have it on the ground in the greehouse where it's cooler on the floor, put it up on a bench or at least a pallet, etc to get it off the ground.set it towards the middle of the greenhouse, or towards the corner where the greenhouse is most protected from the wind because it will be warmer there. But not directly in the corner, just about 3-4 feet away but towards that direction. If you have siam ruby, or aeae or mysore, do the same with those, or margarita, which is the green version of siam ruby. They all seem a little touchy to me.

How is that split corm doing? Some pics if you can please. We are thinking of doing the same thing but need to take are so not to kill it. Thanks and get those fingernails dirty.
