Default Going to try pot growing Banana's

Well Its been 6 years since I tried to fruit 5 banana trees. I built a 12ft high lean to green house, its against the house. First year all the trees died back. The 2nd year I provided heat, same problem, more cost. The 3rd year I dug them up and put them under the house, same problem, although I saw several people do this, wondering what I did wrong. 4th year I gave up, although 3 still came back every year. This year I only see the gross Michael.

So Im stubborn, I still want to fruit a banana tree. My indoor garden room is heated and air conditioned. I have a hot tub in there and we keep the Parrot in there in the day. I want to start over and put them in pots and grow on the open porch with afternoon sun or in the lean to green house also facing SW and before frost in the garden room which is all windows facing SW.

I plan on buying a
Musa Dwarf Cavendish
Musa Ice Cream "Blue Java, if I can find one under $20

The questions are.
1. Any other suggestions on banana's.?
2. What size pots do I need.
3. Do I need to supply alternate light when I bring them in?
4. I may have to top them since the garden room is only 7' high next to the
windows.
5. What's the coldest temp they can stand in the winter? I keep the room warmer than 48 F but no problem to make it warmer.

Is pot growing legal in your area? .... If not then you might need to use a spare bedroom and hope the DEA doesn't know on your door. .... The Governor's Drug Task Force flew over my property last week and the Agents were hanging out the chopper doors on both sides looking at my garden. ....Hahahaha ... Good thing the okra wasn't up yet. Okra plants looks like pot growing from the air!.

Haha.

Yeah, a couple of my stoner friends back in high school were convinced my Grandfather was growing weed in the backyard when it was really okra. I think they even tried to smoke a couple leaves. Idiots.
