Phoenix metro area - fertilizer 15-5-30 vendors?
Received 2 baby banana plants through Amazon. About 5" high.
Question 1 - Looking for banana plant fertilizer, the recommendation is 15-5-30. Where in Mesa, Chandler, Tempe area is it sold? Or something similar? Question 2 - I would also like to taste a Blue Java Banana - is it sold anywhere in the Phoenix metro area? thanks, --bryan in mesa, az |

Re: Phoenix metro area - fertilizer 15-5-30 vendors?
I'm also in phoenix, recently started to dabble in the nana. I haven't been able to find any mixes locally at a good price so am using the 40lb citrus fertilizer from home depot for $18, arizonas best (13-10-4) and then am supplementing with sulfate of potash, SOP. I think some farm supply stores may sell SOP locally but I got tired of looking and ended up just overpaying online, $60 shipped for 30lbs of 0-0-60.
No fruiting yet, first growing season with questionable plants, time will tell. Good luck, |
