Default Need a little help.

I bought this yesterday and while I don't have a lot of plant experience...I'm guessing the condition of this plant is because it wasn't getting watered enough?

I'm going to put it in a new pot today. Do I cut off the leaves accept for the top?

Those leaves still have a good bit of green on them. They are still feeding the plant. You might cut some of the dead brown off but leave the green part. The plant also has a new leaf unrolling, so it is growing.

Re-pot to a bigger pot. Remove the small pot without disturbing the root ball, then set it into the bigger pot. I would then give it a lot of water, then water once a day.

Could be water or sun damage. I'd leave the leaves. They have a lot of green on them so will help the plant. If you want to "pretty it up", trim off the brown parts with a pair of scissors. I'd definitely transplant, gently, to a larger pot filled with good soil (I use County compost so don't know much about musas and purchased soils) and drainage holes. Water well. Enjoy your new addiction...er...addition.

Thank you for the replies. I'm only wanting to do what's best for the plant. The brown leaves don't really bother me aside of correcting whatever is going wrong. I asked about the cutting off of the leaves because I had watched a video saying to on YouTube...I think they said to help with the roots ( allows the plant to focus the energy on the roots? ). No clue. The plant was a pup and being transplanted from the adult. Glad I asked first though. I bought the new pot today and will be transplanting soon.

I would leaves alone until you get a couple of new leaves. Use a pot at least twice as big as the one you have.
