My new Goldfinger has a new leaf and it has reddish green streaks on it. They look like someone took a paint brush and painted them on. Is this normal for a goldfinger or any banana for that matter?

I believe all the Cavendish types have the streaks. I've never seen it on any of my Goldfinger

Dunno about Goldfinger but it's common with Cavs and all the Sikki variants

I have all really almost blue leaves except the new one that has a couple blotches not much. My Saba's have some serious red in this heat wave. So who know's? :^)

I guess I will just see what happens. It seems happy enough, it has been growing real fast. That leaf came out in about 6 days.

I'll venture to say that about 1 in 10 of the Goldfinger I grew did that from what I recall. Normal.

Hey thanks that helps. So it sound like you have grown a couple Goldfingers. How do you like the taste?
