Question Dwarf Cavendish Health.

I have a Dwarf Cavendish that has recently sent up a new leaf, and it's in an odd position, with it being layered over a previous leaf, and there's red streaks on the pseudostem, so I want to know if it's healthy or not.

Here's some extra pictures. Apparently the drooping leaves are because they don't want to lose water to evaporation.

The avatar doesn't help much. I'm on my spare laptop and can't zoom in on the plant.

The new leaf is normal. This plant has closed petiole canals and will open as the cigar leaf gets bigger.

Now what is odd are the little leaves at the bottom of the pstem. Did you re-pot this plant/corm deeper? Banana roots are shallow and the top of the corm should be at the soil line.

Good job with the pictures. See how easy questions are when picture are used. I wasn't trying to be a smart ass {well anyways} but the pictures clarified your question and the answer is simple: there is no problem.

I've removed some of the excess soil and gave it some newer soil, but kept it up to the corm line.
