banana freckle or something else?

in the link I have a dwarf nam wah variegated banana that I got yesterday. the nursery said that the black spots are due to sun damage. is that true or is it due to fungal attack? looking for advice and thanks! |

Good question as i have had similar problems and fin d it hard to believe sun damage - I have seen sun damage and it does not look like this at all, but then I have very limited experience.
