Banana Seed Germination Forum As one of the toughest seeds in the plant kingdom to figure out the keys to germination success with, this is a forum with banana seed germination tips. Please entitle posts like "Musa balbisiana," or "Musa cheesmani," etc. People would then post a reply under that heading, sharing their germination successes (and failures), what materials and methods they used, germination percentage, etc. |

Germination - Musa velutina
Seeds soaked in water 3 days - on the boiler (water changed daily)
Wet Coco substrat. It took longer (4 months), but here they are. wrapped: unwrapped: (velutina on the left, Beng's wild acuminata on the right) After one week under bottle top to keep it growing : Bottle cap with 2 small holes The spot where things grow: Sunny windows+ heater (with 5 cm spacer) +150W hqi-ts bulb - because not enough sun

Good work, we are thinking of doing some of the same seed also. Our sikkimensis are from seed and looking good also. Good growing and stay healthy.
