Banana Seed Germination Forum As one of the toughest seeds in the plant kingdom to figure out the keys to germination success with, this is a forum with banana seed germination tips. Please entitle posts like "Musa balbisiana," or "Musa cheesmani," etc. People would then post a reply under that heading, sharing their germination successes (and failures), what materials and methods they used, germination percentage, etc.

Joy Musa Cheesmanii Germination question

I ordered some seeds and i looked up how to germinate banana seeds and what it said was to put the seeds in water for 24 hours and then plant it but i sprouted some beans in a wet paper towel i was thinking that i could soak the seeds in water for 24 hours and the put it into a wet paper towel and keep the seeds there for how ever long it takes the seeds to sprout and then plant it.... tell me what you think of my plan and tell me if you thinks its a good idea or if theres a better/faster way i don't want to use a heater(want them to sprout fast so i could put them outside for summer and plant them next year)

Thanks,
Naz

A paper towel will work.Anything to keep the seed moist will work.
