Ah, yes. China - the land of opportunity.

Don't buy anything plant related from China: seeds, bulbs, plants, etc.

I think how it works with seeds is they usually send pebbles or whatever they have lying around. You plant them and wait. By the time you have a complaint, eBay says it's been too long and you can't leave feedback or get a refund.

I love that the varieties they picture would not have seeds to grow. These "FAKE" plants that they sell on ebay is very sad and disappointing in ebay they really should not allow it. Who ever these fine folks are selling the "FAKE" plants their are others that sell non existing strawberries and roses in a rainbow of colors sometimes literally on the same plant.. and I have a feeling their is a segment of the population that falls for it and buys the seeds.. very sad.

I bought seeds from China several times, none of them were what they were advertised to be.

I noticed my grammar on this is atrocious, but hopefully you all get the idea.

I reported them to Ebay. So should you. Being myself a seller on EBay, I don't want to see crappy sellers that destroy the reputation of everyone and the site itself. What a joke! I try to never buy from China, especially online. Seeds and plants are the worst. Precious and semi-precious stones and silver are usually a ripoff too!

Yup, unfortunately ebay doesn't seem to have the proper people in place
to monitor and weed out the obvious fakes. There are rip off sellers on ebay
that are not quite so obvious though. One Canadian seller that no one should
buy from is "The seed house" She sells Alocasia and Colocasia bulbs to
anywhere, and in her ad says she is in New Hamberg, Canada.
I purchased what was supposed to be a variety of 6 different types of Alocasia and Colocasia bulbs. When I got them in, the sizes of the bulbs were noticeably different , but once they all sprouted I realized they all had the same leaves. I recognize them from being the commom Taro Root that is commonly sold in any grocery store. When I contacted her and told her, I
did not receive what I purchased, she replied, " what makes you think that?".
I then sent her pics and told her these are common crocery store taro plants
and not the giant varieties, as well as others I purchased. She then tried to
convice me that all Alocasia and Colocasia's look the same when starting out, and they change as they grow.
I started a claim and did get my money back, but it is sad to see that 3 years later, ebay is still allowing her to list her bogus ads.

Sad... If you paid with Paypal, you can get your money back. Fight it. I got refunded many times through Paypal.

Unfortunately Ebay cares a lot about sellers that make them money. That said they do help a lot of customers if they have problems. Ebay has started removing a buyers ability to leave feedback on a bad transaction if the seller is in the process of making the transaction better. So if a transaction is bad, it limits a sellers leaving feedback that reports the sellers performance. That environment fosters more money for ebay, but at the cost of the customer.
