Wine stains for ID of young plants???

Do Gold Finger or Dwarf Cavendish ever have wine stains on the leaves when they are young plants?

Thanks,

A friend gave me a "Goldfinger" about a year ago.
It was killed to the ground by frost last december, but a pup came up from what was left of the corm this spring.
The pup is VERY slow growing and has allot of red in the leaves.
I was hoping to determine weather what I got was actually goldfinger.
Sounds like some red is not uncomon.
