I think that this banana is about to flower. Will it die after the bloom?

On a traffic light green means go and yellow means yield, but on a banana it's just the opposite. Green means hold on, yellow means go ahead, and red means where the hell did you get that banana at...

Yes, it will die after the bloom and pups will replace it. I believe musellas keep the bloom going for quite a number of months, though.....so it will very possibly still be blooming in the summer. Wiki says they can hold the bloom for up to 8 months.
