![]() I am sifting through the many cultivars of plantains to try and identify the most popular eaten and most widely grown types. I am thinking dwarf macho, but am not sure. Maybe it is giant macho. Also wondering which ones are more cool tolerant.
Any ideas?. ![]() |

![]() The most popular plantains are the ones on sale in the supermarkets. Publix here in Fla is trying to compete with Bravo and others so it's nice to have more than one source.
Having said that --- I've sampled 4or 5 different platano cultivars from Nick's place and tastewise his are always the best. |
